Park City bus collides with moose, killing the animal

There were no passengers aboard when accident occurred

A Park City transit bus collided with a moose between Old Town and Empire Pass in mid-March, killing the animal, the Park City Police Department said.


The accident occurred at a little bit before 11:40 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, on Marsac Avenue approximately one-half of a mile from Old Town. The Police Department said the moose “walked into the roadway on Marsac, causing the bus to hit the moose.”


There were no passengers aboard the bus at the time of the accident and no injuries were reported to the driver.


The police said the investigation is closed.
