A moose died after a collision with a vehicle along the Park City entryway in early June, an advocacy group said.

Save People Save Wildlife said the accident occurred on the outbound side of S.R. 224 close to Temple Har Shalom. Car parts were found in the vicinity of the carcass, the group said.

S.R. 224 is under the jurisdiction of the Utah Department of Transportation and is the primary entryway to Park City for drivers from the Snyderville Basin and the Wasatch Front. There is significant open space that provides wildlife habitat as the road approaches the Park City limits.
